The Cincinnati-Eastside Rotary Club collected more than 70 pairs of shoes and socks during its April shoe drive to support Buckner Shoes for Orphan Souls®, the largest humanitarian aid project of the global ministry, Buckner International.

Cincinnati Eastside Rotary, along with Rotary Clubs throughout southwest Ohio, donated new shoes and socks and made monetary donations to support this worthy project aiding vulnerable children in the United States and throughout the world.

It has been proven that new shoes put children on a path to better health and education. Students who are healthy have better attendance at school and are more likely to be successful.  Since 1999, Buckner has distributed more than 3 million pairs of new shoes and socks to children in 82 countries.

About Our Club

The Rotary Club of Cincinnati-Eastside was formed April 5, 2013 and it's 40 members enjoy fellowship, service and education each Wednesday at a luncheon meeting at Ivy Hills Country Club.  Prospective members are always welcome and each week more people are joining the "ground floor" of this new and vibrant Club.

The members represent a wide range of business, non-profit and government leaders.
