Cincinnati-Eastside Rotary recognized Megan Bastin and Zachary Jeschke from Glen Este High School as March Students of the Month.  The students were honored for their outstanding academic achievement, leadership and active community service.

 

Megan Bastin is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as editor of Key Club and secretary of Student Council.  As a member of Key Club, Megan has been instrumental in managing service projects with Ronald McDonald House Cincinnati.  Megan also volunteers for Cincy Kids 4 Kids, a local non-profit organization helping local children who are experiencing emotional, physical or financial difficulties.

 

Zachary Jeschke is a stand-out student athlete who has earned three varsity letters as a member of the football team.  Zach is a member of the Key Club, Prom Committee, and Student Council and also serves as vice president of National Honor Society.  Zach’s volunteerism includes beatification projects at the Glen Este campus in Union Township, coaching youth football camps, and activities at his church.

“We’re pleased to recognize such dedicated service to the community,” said Cincinnati Eastside-Rotary President Daren Donohoo.  “In addition to exceptional academic records, Megan and Zachary are putting their talents to use in the community and serving as role models.”

About Our Club

The Rotary Club of Cincinnati-Eastside was formed April 5, 2013 and it's 40 members enjoy fellowship, service and education each Wednesday at a luncheon meeting at Ivy Hills Country Club.  Prospective members are always welcome and each week more people are joining the "ground floor" of this new and vibrant Club.

The members represent a wide range of business, non-profit and government leaders.
