Meet Mark Mabelitini – Rotary Making a Difference

Rotary District Governor, Mark Mabelitini, recently visited Cincinnati Eastside Rotary to discuss current initiatives for the 52 Clubs in soutwhest Ohio that comprise District 6670.

Mark is a member of the Rotary Club of Sidney, Past President of the Rotary Club of Tipp City, and is a Paul Harris Fellow.  As a Club member, he has been involved with the Four Way Speech Contest, Rotary Youth Exchange, and RYLA.  He joined Rotary in 2006 because his employer wanted him to join, and he stays because he loves being a Rotarian.

In addition to Rotary, he has served on public and non-profit boards including the Downtown Tipp City Partnership, Tipp City Restoration and Architectural Board of Review, and SafeHaven Inc., a mental health support center.

After 20 years as a manager and administrator of public libraries, he is now the owner and recreational/personal chef for At Home Bistro.  Cooking has always been his passion, and now he gets to follow his passion as a career.   When he is not cooking, he is a substitute school teacher because he loves seeing children learn and he often learns something from them.

Mark discussed District 6670 continuing as a Peace Builder District, contributing to the fund that supports scholarships for students to our Peace Centers around the world. Each club is being asked to contribute $8 per member toward the contribution for next year.  Each club is also being asked to plant a tree for each member, a request made by Rotary International President Ian Risely.

The District also intends to become more family friendly under Mabelitini’s leadership by encouraging clubs to provide a family/child friendly atmosphere at club meetings.

Mark and his wife Aliana (Past President of the Rotary Club of Sidney and current Assistant Governor) are proud parents of four children.

About Our Club

The Rotary Club of Cincinnati-Eastside was formed April 5, 2013 and it's 40 members enjoy fellowship, service and education each Wednesday at a luncheon meeting at Ivy Hills Country Club.  Prospective members are always welcome and each week more people are joining the "ground floor" of this new and vibrant Club.

The members represent a wide range of business, non-profit and government leaders.
