United Way of Greater Cincinnati Success by 6 aims to increase early childhood education opportunities

Cincinnati Eastside Rotary was pleased to welcome Jim Zimmerman, founder of Success by 6 and retired Chairman & CEO of Macy’s Inc., and Success by 6 Executive Director Stephanie Byrd to a recent luncheon meeting to discuss the early childhood education initiative.

The mission:

Kids who are ready for kindergarten are more likely to stay on track and in school. And teens who finish high school are more likely to be employed. When we help kids prepare for school, finish school and pursue higher education, we lay the foundation for a brighter future for us all. The goal?

It’s never too soon to start building the foundation for school success. Through strategies like home visitation and ensuring access to quality early care and education, Success by 6 gives parents and their children the tools they need to be ready for kindergarten.

United Way Success by 6 is the driving force behind kindergarten readiness in our region, helping make high-quality early childhood programs and services available to all.
