Cincinnati-Eastside Rotary Club members were privileged to provide the first service event for GLAM (Give Like A Mother) at their new Eastgate Mall location. GLAM founder Amy Vann explained that she founded the organization to provide quality clothes to school kids to prevent bullying and other social issues when their family can only provide “hand me downs.” Previously GLAM was located at the Red Barn location in Batavia, an isolated location difficult to find. The new location is much roomier and will enable qualified families to actually “shop” for back to school outfits and other items in a centralized setting within a retail environment. Club members were able to help by sorting through over 40 bags of donated clothing and enjoy “service above self” as well as great camaraderie.
