We look forward to seeing you at our Rotary Club on Wednesday January 25th! Join us at 11:45am at Ivy Hills as we hear from Amy Burke (Job & Family Services) and Sharon Wiesenhahn (Wendy’s Wonderful Kids).
Wendy’s Wonderful Kids is through the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Through their signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids, the Dave Thomas Foundation supports the hiring of adoption professionals, known as recruiters, who are dedicated to finding permanent families for children in foster care who are most often overlooked. That includes teenagers, children with special needs and siblings. Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiters use an evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model to find the right family for every child. A rigorous, five-year national evaluation revealed that children referred to the program are up to 3x more likely to be adopted.
